Wow, almost forgot about this one... I think I started it in July? Anyways, this is Rylan... whacked with the gender!wand. He took to being a she reeeeally well. But mostly, this was an excuse to draw something summery, like a girl in shorts enjoying a Popsicle.

Yeeeah, don't look too hard at the background. I tried several different things. Some worked, some didn't. I'm not gonna worry about the ones that didn't in this pic - just keep them in mind for the next one. ^^

Whatchu talking about? The background is good. I like how there is the outdoor eating space and how it's all italian villa style. The trashcan beside *her* detracts from the romantic feel the background creates, but it is practical. I love the eyes. Really good coloring there. I like the body position, accentuates the girly curves. It's funny, but if you know that she was a he you can see it in the face, which is good actually. the only thing I notice to critique is the hand. It's a little large and is held awkwardly for the body.

*laughs* I'm still working on getting backgrounds somewhere between uber-sharp and looking like something I did when I was 12. I don't think this one turned out too badly, but it doesn't quite match up to what I wanted it to be, if that makes any sense. ^^;

Yeah, Rylan's eyes are one of his/her most distinctive features. (He's the guy in my Soft Light pic.) Her curves were fun to draw. :D I see what you mean about the hand.

The two things I always see when I look at your drawings is the extremely natural expressions and clean lines. I hope my talents reach such a level some day.
